It's a really good post about how the value of a leader is in shifting from helping a team overcome problems and keeping them focused on work to helping the team predict and remove problems before they happen.
My comment is that we can't expect a new leader to immediately be an anticipator, but they need time to assess the culture and understand the domain first.
