Interesting post and conversation about the hiring process for an agile team. I've seen this topic several times recently, but I didn't think to keep the other links around.
The real key is balancing the need for hiring people that fit your culture. This can mean hiring young and molding them or finding the right experienced people. In agile, the second is a small challenge. In small companies, the first option is a risk when that is all you can afford (no senior people to mold them).
